Edgar Pinto is a Post-Doctoral researcher at LAQV/REQUIMTE and invited Assistant Professor at the School of Health of IPP.

He has a PhD degree in Sustainable Chemistry from University of Porto (2014) and a vast experience in the fields of analytical, food and environmental chemistry.

His main interests are the use of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) in the analysis of both nutrients and contaminants in food and environmental matrixes and the study of metals transfer in the soil-water-plant system under abiotic and biotic stresses.

H-index 9 and published 27 indexed articles. Supervised 1 PhD thesis, 4 MsD thesis and 6 BsC thesis.
