Isabel M.P.L.V.O. Ferreira is Associate Professor at the University of Porto – Faculty of Pharmacy, coordinator of I3A–LAQV and coordinator of the Food Quality and Safety research line at LAQV/REQUIMTE.

Food quality and safety, development and validation of GC and HPLC methods for analyses of nutrients and contaminants.

Processing Healthier, Appealing and Safer Foods. Finding new applications for agroindustry by-products to be applied in the development of new functional foods. Invited by International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) to integrate Monograph Working Group Members. Participated in national and international conferences with more than 100 oral presentations.

Supervised 9 PhD thesis, 25 MsD thesis and 5 PostDoc.

Holds an H-Index 31. Published 158 indexed articles, 8 chapters, 1 patent and participated in 15 research Projects including international (FP7, H2020) and national funded research projects.
