Madalena Sobral master in Biochemistry in 2015 at the University of Aveiro.

In the same year she started a research grant at the Associate Laboratory CICECO, at the Chemistry Department of the same University.

In 2016, she started her a PhD in sustainable chemistry at Bromatology department at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the University of Porto under supervision of Professor Isabel MPLVO Ferreira, Doctor Miguel Faria and Doctor Sara Cunha.

Her work is focused on evaluating the impact of novel domestic cooking methods on the bioaccessibility/trans-epithelial transport of nutrients and contaminants."
