Sara Cunha is Senior Researcher at LAQV/REQUIMTE, University of Porto - Faculty of Pharmacy.
Received her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Chemistry in 2007.
Her research interests include the development of new methods based in chromatographic techniques as GC/MS, GC-MS/MS or LC/MS-MS for the authentication of high value food products (olive oils and wines) and for the screening of a range of contaminants (pesticides, bisphenol A, mycotoxins, furans, biogenic amines, acrylamide, PBDEs, musks, UV-filters) in food, water and biological fluids.
She is the author 90 indexed articles (H-index- 29), 9 book chapters and participated in national and international conferences with more than 100 oral and poster communications.
Supervised/co-supervised 3 PhD thesis and 10 MsD thesis.
She has deep expertise in EU projects (WP leader in FP7 ECsafeSEAFOOD and H2020 SEAFOODTOMOROOW) and Portuguese projects (PTDC/DTP-FTO/5651/2014 - POCI-01-0145-FEDER-01656 and PTDC/AGR-ALI/101583/2008).
